At age 10, I received my first copy of FruityLoops by Image-Line Software, an early digital audio workstation (DAW) that helped me translate my ideas into loop-based music and experiment in real-time. This sprouted into a life-long fascination with computer-assisted creative work, including graphic, web, and sound design. Since then, I have become proficient in other DAWs like Logic Pro X and Ableton Live Suite (using their built-in libraries), as well as third party plugins from the entire Native Instruments suite.
Today, I'm expecting to graduate from Computer Systems Technology (CST) at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in June 2022, which will be an important milestone for me. Thanks to CST, I have kept busy during the pandemic by adding new frameworks and programming languages to my repertoire of technologies to play with. Very simply: I just want to make stuff, and make it well, while leveraging the synergy of a team of people that I trust. That's my happy place!
Some of my favourite programming and scripting languages so far have been (but are not limited to): C, C#, Java, JavaScript, Bash, and Perl. As for frameworks, I have enjoyed using Xamarin.Forms for front-end mobile development, Vue.js for API-driven model-view applications, and ASP.NET Core Blazor for single page web apps. With this growing toolkit, I hope to continue tinkering and delivering high-quality projects for myself and my clients going forward.
